The Book Club that Meets in a Haunted Antique Shop

Join us! We’re a neighborhood book club with a twist. When we get together, we talk about books with spectral elements. Sometimes we read classic books, like Charles Dickins’ “Christmas Carol,” in which Ebenezer Scrooge is bedeviled by the ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Future. Sometimes we read contemporary fiction, like Neil Gaiman’s “The Cemetery Book,” or George Saunders’ “Lincoln in the Bardo.”

We meet in the century-old dining room of The Haunted Antique Shop. We order pizza from our favorite neighborhood pizza place, open a bottle of red wine, and if we’re lucky, we’ll be joined by a spectral visitor or two.
